Christopher is delighted to launch his revamped website.

SimG Records and MMD have arranged a CD signing at Dress Circle to launch the Cast Album for A SONG CYCLE FOR SOHO on Saturday the 12th May 2012 with the original cast. Christopher and Susannah Pearse's song 'Does Anybody Know my Name' features on this CD and he will be at the signing.

Christopher Hamilton is among ten finalists involved in the inaugural Craig Barbour award which will be held on Sunday the 13th May at the Soho Theatre. For more information and tickets click here

After his sell out debut at the Pheasantry in Chelsea, London last November, Chris was thrilled to be invited back. He returns on Sunday the 29th May to perform a solo show with guest performers Dianne Pilkington, Nicole Faraday and Shimi Goodman.
Chris and his guests will be singing brand new songs written by Chris and Shimi Goodman will perform songs from his debut album "When You Hear My Voice" which features seven of Chris' compositions.

Pizza on the Park
Chris will be musically directing Shona White's cabaret at 8pm on Sunday 25th July at Pizza on the Park (The Pheasantry, Chelsea). Shona will be singing three of Chris' original compositions in a line up which includes Judy Garland and Dusty Springfield. Full details can be found here

Another award! Chris won the third Tim Williams Award for best composition on Sunday 20th June with his song "Burn", lyrics by Tennessee Williams. Dianne Pilkington performed the song brilliantly. Chris won the same competition back in October. The British Theatre Guide said "And there could have been little argument about Christopher Hamilton becoming a second time winner of The Tim Williams Award for Best Composition with the piece Burn".

Two of Chris' original songs (one co-written with Susannah Pearse) have reached the finals of the Stiles and Drewe Best New Song Prize 2010. The event will be hosted by Hannah Waddingham and will take place at 3pm on Sunday 6th June at the Queen's Theatre, London.

Chris wins second award of the year!
 
Frank Lazarus presented Chris with the Tim Williams Award for best composition at the "Readiness Is All" event at the Cochrane Theatre on 11th October. His song "I am no good at love" (lyrics by Noel Coward) was sung by original interpreter Shimi Goodman. Chris has been invited to compose two songs for "Readiness Is All" in memory of the London Shakespeare Workout's (LSW) late Musical Director Tim Williams. Seventeen brand new theatre songs inspired by classical lyrics will be performed on 11th October at the Cochrane Theatre, London by eighteen professional West End singers. Chris Hamilton is now an award winning writer!
 
Chris has just returned from an extremely successful month at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His debut musical "Over The Threshold" was critically acclaimed receiving six 5 star reviews and played to sell out audiences. It was nominated in the MTM: UK Awards in the following three categories - Best New Lyrics, Best New Music and Best New Musical and beat off strong competition to win the award for Best New Music. "Over The Threshold" will transfer to Jermyn Street Theatre, London for a limited run between the 22nd September and the 3rd October. http://www.jermynstreettheatre.co.uk/
